Primary Utility Services is dedicated to providing unparalleled service to electrical power providers throughout West Texas. 
 
We offer innovative, state-of-the-art solutions for the repair, maintenance and construction of transmission and distribution networks, including underground and overhead systems and substations, as well as storm response and restoration. 
 
As a family-owned and -operated business with headquarters in the Greater Lubbock area, Primary Utility Services has a deep commitment to the communities of West Texas and the power companies that serve them. 
 
We strive to ensure every client receives the prompt, courteous, skilled attention they need to deliver power to homes, businesses, and public facilities throughout the region.

Established in 2008 by Arthur Hernandez, Sr. and his wife, Sylvia

All 6 Hernandez family members are now actively involved

In 2008, Arthur Hernandez, Sr. decided to give up a secure job working for a regional utility company to start his own electrical contracting business.  He recognized the need for a reliable contractor in the West Texas region.  With a vision to succeed as a business owner he enlisted the help of his wife Sylvia to assist with the paperwork while she also maintained a full-time career with the State.  Armed with an old pickup truck he set out to find work landing at Lamb County Electrical Cooperative in Littlefield, TX.  All 6 members of the Hernandez family now play a strong role in the continued growth of the business. 

How Primary US Grew

Through hard work and dedication, Primary has continued to increase our customer base as well as our highly trained workforce. Today, Primary employs over 100 dedicated men and women that continue to mold the company into a top tier Texas business. We are a privately held minority and woman owned family business. We continue our commitment in providing great paying West Texas jobs and giving back to our local communities.
 
Primary now employs over 100 men and women in service to the communities of West Texas.
